All kids classes/ workshops are FREE
Call to reserve a spot and to ask about materials needed

These programs are funded through community donations and fund raisers. Program development at the Blanchard Community Center is further supported by partnerships with local organizations including BASIC, Blanchard Arts Guild, Blanchard Stitchers, and Blanchard Spinners. We are constantly seeking grants to off-set costs and expand artistic activities however, we do not currently have grant funding.

Coming up in the 2018 schedule will be drawing and painting classes, an assemblage class, model sessions, and a painting party. We are bringing in artists to teach from Spokane, Spirit Lake area and Blanchard. More details will be announced in the January newsletter.

Classes and workshops will usually be on Saturdays from 10am to 2pm. Everything is priced separately now. Please call for prices and a material list. Teenagers are welcome to join all of our classes.

Scholarships will be decided upon depending on interest. We usually offer scholarships to teenagers after their first class. We offer partial scholarships to seniors.

BLANCHARD STITCHERS at the Blanchard Community Center
News from the Blanchard Stitchers
The Blanchard Stitchers recently sewed together 16 polar fleece hat and mitten sets and delivered them to the Idaho Hill Elementary school in Oldtown, Idaho. The sets will be used as awards for the students and for those who need them to keep warm.

Earlier this year the BSers also made tatting bags for member, Jane and her husband to take to Uganda in November on their missionary trip. For the remainder of this year, we will be working on our own projects to get ready for Christmas. Our Christmas party will again be held at Penny and Ed's home in December.

Always welcoming new members, we have lots of room and tables to spread out your projects and set up your sewing machines at the Blanchard Community Center. We meet the 3rd and 4th Tuesdays of each month at the center from 9:30 to 2 p.m. to sew and the 2nd Tuesday of the month we enjoy breakfast with our spouses at 9 a.m. at the Blanchard Inn and a short business meeting.

If you are interested in joining us, there will be a small fee to go towards the rent of the Community Center and for more information, call Penny Funkhouser at 206-799-8964 or Margie Yongue 208-661-8596.
The BSers will make charity quilts so if you know of someone in need, please contact us. Also, t-shirt quilts are our specialty so if you want a special t-shirt quilt, or another type of quilt, just give us a call. Also, if you have good cotton fabrics to donate, give us a call.

Meets the 2nd Tuesday each month at the Blanchard Inn*, 10 AM
And 3rd Tuesday and 4th Tuesday, 9 AM each month at the Blanchard Community Center.
